Why I’m Reshaping My Photography Business
A Slower, More Intentional Way of Serving You
There was a moment recently, while sitting on the beach, watching my children laugh and run in and out of the waves, when I felt something shift. The sound of the ocean in my ears, the sand between my toes, and the joy in their voices reminded me of what truly matters.
It was in that stillness that I realized something:
I don’t want my clients to feel like just another date on my calendar.
I want to build something slower, deeper, and more intentional.
This is why I’ve made the decision to reshape how I run my photography business.
I’m limiting myself to 12–15 weddings per year and just four newborn sessions per month. I’ll continue to offer family sessions and mini sessions, but in a way that allows space for quality, for creativity, for life.
Last year, I photographed 20 weddings for my own clients. It was “success” by the numbers, but I missed out on too much at home. My health suffered. I was always editing, always delivering, always chasing a deadline. I forgot to breathe. I forgot to rest.
And I don’t want to run my business like that anymore.
I’m not the photographer who jumps in for selfies at your wedding or asks you to pause your day for marketing content. I’m not knocking anyone who does, it’s just not my style. I’m the fly on the wall. The helpful fly. The one who brings the backup kit knows how to direct with care and turns around your gallery in a timeframe that reflects how much I respect your memories.
I want to be your photographer. Not just for your wedding or your newborn session, but the one you return to over and over again because you know I’ll take care of your story.
I value loyalty, thoughtfulness, and connection. I’m not looking for “cheap” clients, but I want to remain affordable. Photography should be an investment, but it shouldn’t feel like a second mortgage.
So if you’re someone who believes photos are sacred, who wants more than just pretty pictures, someone who wants a meaningful, lasting relationship with a photographer who truly sees you, then I’d love to work with you.
Let’s capture the life you’re living—beautifully, honestly, and with intention.
